Nexstar Broadcasting Group has opened a new, $5.5 million, state-of-the-art television broadcasting studio and offices in Joplin, MO.
The all-digital facility houses Nexstar’s KSNF-TV, the local NBC affiliate, and KODE-TV, the market’s ABC affiliate which Nexstar manages under a local service agreement with Mission Broadcasting.
The ABC and NBC stations run side-by-side main news sets and control rooms and have eliminated a large number of jobs across all crafts as a result of this shared services agreement.
